Structural Study

The Structural Calculation Office is the technical pillar of every Simonin project. Our engineers design, model and optimize timber structures in compliance with current regulations — Eurocodes 5, seismic standards, fire resistance.

Missions

Preliminary sizing — rapid feasibility assessment from the project sketch stage, dialogue with architects and project owners
Structural modeling — finite element calculations, load transfer analysis, verification of Résix® and glued laminated timber connections
Regulatory calculation notes — production of supporting documents for inspection bodies, Eurocodes EC5 compliance
Material optimization — reducing the cross-sections and volumes of wood without compromising strength, for more economical and lower-carbon structures
Coordination with the Design Office and the Testing Laboratory to ensure total consistency between calculation, design and manufacturing
