The Structural Engineer is responsible for the strength and safety of each structure. A specialist in the mechanics of timber structures, they are involved from the outset and throughout the project to guarantee structural performance.

Missions

  • Structural analysis: modeling of structures (frames, arches, beams, trusses), calculation of stresses and deformations
  • Verification of connections: sizing of connectors, bolts, pins, Résix® systems and metal plates
  • Seismic studies: modal analysis, seismic verification according to EC8 for at-risk areas
  • Fire resistance: calculation of the fire resistance of timber sections (charring, residual sections), compliance with REI requirements
  • Communication with inspection bodies: defense of technical choices, response to observations, iterative adjustments
