Missions

  • Mission

    The Technical Sales Representative holds a key strategic role, serving as the primary point of contact for clients. They provide tailored solutions while promoting the company’s products.

    The main responsibilities include:

    Analysis and review of project files

    • Analysis of contract documents, public or private
    • Public and private contracts in accordance with the MOP law and design-build contracts
    • Monitoring of technical and regulatory developments
    • Knowledge of the construction market in general and timber construction in particular

    Technical studies and costing

    • Preparation of concept drawings, quantity take-offs, sketches, installation methodologies, technical reports, SOPAQ, SOPRE, etc.
    • Creation and contribution to the development of standard tools for the sales department (sketches, specifications, price requests, DPGF)
    • Design-build and/or verification of the proposed design
    • Participation in the technical and financial development of products and the company

    Supplier and partner relations

    • Consultation with suppliers, subcontractors, co-contractors, service providers, etc.
    • Participation in project negotiations following tender submissions

    Technical coordination and production

    • Communication with the production department to assess feasibility and monitor deadlines
    • Participation, in coordination with other departments, in finding solutions to resolve issues
    • Interaction with other departments for development, to respond as accurately as possible to project requirements
    • Cross-departmental support
    • Transfer of processed files to the “works” department

    Customer and sales relations

    • Responses to various requests from external and internal clients: phone, emails, meetings, etc.
    • Client meetings off-site or on-site
    • Welcoming clients and company visits
    • Participation in sales meetings, site monitoring, etc.

    Profile

    Education:

    You hold at least a two-year higher education degree (Bac +2 equivalent) in timber construction or technical sales, such as:

    • DUT in Marketing Techniques
    • BTS SCBH (Timber Construction Systems and Housing)
    • Bachelor’s degree / Professional Bachelor’s in Timber Construction
    • Master’s degree specialized in Timber Construction
    • Driving license (Category B) required

    Software:

    • Drafting software: Cadwork
    • Calculation software: Accorbat or MD Bat
    • Microsoft Office

    Knowledge:

    • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
    • Good persuasive abilities
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge of technical products in the timber sector

    Skills:

    • Ability to sell technical products
    • Provide technical expertise and methodology
    • Respond effectively to requests from management
    • Understand timber construction standards
