Simonin SAS designs and manufactures glued laminated timber structures and produces high-end wood components for construction, both in France and internationally.
We are part of the ATELIERS DE France group, a player in heritage restoration and high-end projects (≈ 50 subsidiaries, 12 countries).
Your tasks
- Create 2D/3D plans and models of wood (and mixed wood/steel) structures: general plans, manufacturing plans, installation plans and assembly details.
- Communicate with the various stakeholders and ensure the reliability of the plans (technical consistency, interfaces, manufacturing and site constraints).
- Prepare execution files: nomenclatures and quantities, identifications, drawings, and contribute to the capitalization of details and standards.
Your profile
Knowledge
- Reading plans, spatial geometry and understanding of structural principles (wood and, if possible, steel).
- Knowledge of wood products (glulam, CLT, connectors) and assembly principles.
- Sensitivity to regulatory and quality requirements (execution plans, tolerances, identification, traceability).
- Proficiency with office software; meticulous documentation skills (technical English appreciated).
Expertise
- Model and create a plan using CAD/CAM software, ideally Cadwork.
- Create complete execution plans: details, assemblies, markings, sections, views, and preparation of parts for the workshop.
- Produce clear and structured documents (plans, bills of materials, quantities) and apply drawing standards.
- Understanding the interactions with calculations in order to correctly integrate sizing requirements into plans.
Interpersonal skills
- Enjoys teamwork and communicates simply on technical subjects.
- Analytical mind, sense of priorities and responsibilities.

Education & Experience
- Education: BTS / DUT / Professional Licence (wood, construction, building) or equivalent; engineering profiles are accepted according to BE/plan aptitude.
- Experience: First experience in a design office (framework/structures) is appreciated; motivated beginner profiles will be considered if they have a good grasp of basic drawing skills and a desire to learn.
Terms
- Permanent contract – full-time – fixed hours.
- Position based in Montlebon (25).
