{"id":5722,"date":"2026-04-20T13:27:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T12:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.simonin.com\/emploi\/structural-calculation-engineer-m-f\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T13:27:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T12:27:24","slug":"structural-calculation-engineer-m-f","status":"publish","type":"emploi","link":"https:\/\/www.simonin.com\/en\/emploi\/structural-calculation-engineer-m-f\/","title":{"rendered":"Structural Calculation Engineer (M\/F)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The group &#038; the website<\/h2>\n<p>Simonin SAS designs and manufactures glued laminated timber structures and produces high-end wood components for construction, both in France and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>We are part of the ATELIERS DE France group, a player in heritage restoration and high-end projects (\u2248 50 subsidiaries, 12 countries).<\/p>\n<h2>Your tasks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and dimension timber (and mixed timber\/steel) structures for buildings and footbridges: load calculations, modeling, verification and optimization.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with the various stakeholders (project manager, designers, clients, inspection offices) and ensure the technical choices are made.<\/li>\n<li>Write up supporting calculation notes, assist with development (plans, assemblies) and contribute to the capitalization of technical solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Your profile<\/h2>\n<h3>Knowledge<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Solid foundation in mathematics, strength of materials and structural calculations (wood and steel).<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of wood products, their properties and assembly methods.<\/li>\n<li>Mastery of construction standards and Eurocodes.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with office software (technical English appreciated).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Expertise<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Modeling and verifying structures using calculation software (mainly Acord Bat).<\/li>\n<li>Design wood\/steel structures in detail and carry out regulatory checks.<\/li>\n<li>Write clear and structured calculation notes.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Cadwork is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Interpersonal skills<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enjoys teamwork and communicates simply on technical subjects.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical mind, sense of priorities and responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What you gain from it<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Concrete and varied projects, from concept to justification.<\/li>\n<li>A real close relationship with the workshop, the designers and the project managers.<\/li>\n<li>An environment that values \u200b\u200brigor, autonomy and skills development.<\/li>\n<li>An accessible team, daily technical exchanges and a key role in the success of projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Education &#038; Experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree \/ Engineering degree (structure, civil engineering, timber construction or equivalent).<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience in a design office (framework\/structures).
